Armir Hasa, the author of the wounding of the 16-year-old two days ago in Kamez, has fallen into the hands of the police.

During the coded police operation "Catch", the 18-year-old man was arrested along with his accomplice in this event. The police also impounded the vehicle that the two suspected perpetrators used to leave the scene. 

Sources from Commissariat no. 5 said that the author and the injured are friends in the neighborhood, they have known each other for years and it does not appear that they had fights or conflicts before.

According to the investigation group, the cause of the incident is initially suspected to have been a banal momentary conflict, while the security cameras in the area are being examined to find out more.

The 16-year-old received a bullet in the calf of his leg and is currently out of danger.

"Following the investigative actions carried out for the clarification and complete documentation of the event that happened on 18.10.2023, around 16:10, on "OSBE" street, Kamëz, where an attempt was made to kill a 16-year-old with a firearm , the specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against Person and Property, in cooperation with Police Station No. 5, have organized and finalized the police operation coded "Catch". As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested and detained: AH, 18 years old and Xh. Ç., 19 years old, both residents of Kamez. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these 2 citizens, on 18.10.2023, after a momentary conflict for weak motives, tried to kill with a weapon shot the 16-year-old, who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors. As material evidence, the vehicle with which the 2 suspected perpetrators left the scene was seized, according to the police. 
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana for further actions for the two arrested persons.
