The father of the baby who was infected with HIV/AIDS at QSUT after treatment:

The father of the baby who was infected with HIV/AIDS at QSUT after treatment in an exclusive interview on Top Story show on Top Channel narrated the ordeal of suffering after the serious case.

He says that very difficult moments have passed, the boy's condition was serious, while the doctors could not find a diagnosis.

"My son was born in October, pregnancy was the most beautiful period in my life, the birth was a normal caesarean section, then on the first day we found out that the son was not breathing normally and according to the checks from the maternity ward, he had respiratory distress, he was hospitalized for five days in reanimation, he was treated with therapy and antibiotics and was released from the hospital on October 16, 2021, progress was good, he was growing healthy, then respiratory arrest occurred and we had to admit him urgently, seeing the aggravated condition, he was admitted to the old reanimation , the condition was not good, he almost escaped intubation, after we left the hospital, the boy's condition never returned to what it was before. On December 26th, he developed an abnormal fever accompanied by diarrhea and a fever that did not go down, we talked to the doctor and she gave us a medicine to lower the temperature, the condition did not improve, breathing became difficult and he was developing skin infections and urinary infections. The temperature did not go down, the doctor who was following him threw out theories that turned out to be negative, the condition did not change at any time, we asked for an epicrisis after we were convinced to send him out, he hypothesized immunodeficiency, he was admitted to the emergency room, the condition was very serious with 60 % oxygen and in addition to the diagnosis that we received afterwards, it was also with COVID, let alone other viruses that he got in the hospital" , he said.

On the other hand, the mother of the 2-year-old boy says that they are in debt due to medical expenses and that the state has given zero help.

" To be honest, as a young couple with salaries in Albania, it has been difficult, we are in debt, relatives have helped us, the situation is very difficult economically, I have to take care of the son, only my husband works. 100% cost 0, we get everything at zero value, there is no lack of care and emotional support which has been very important, he is still small, he only understands our emotions, but that's it," said the mother of the infected boy. / Top channel
