WhatsApp has made a big change by introducing a new option that is expected to fundamentally change the way we use the communication app.

According to the announcement from the "Meta" company, users will now be able to "log in" to two accounts at the same time, and on the same phone.

This will allow users to talk through two different accounts, or use it to separate work contacts from real life ones.

"Switching through two WhatsApp accounts, you will soon be able to have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone within the app," announced Mark Zuckerberg.

The feature will roll out to Android users in the coming weeks, while iPhone users will have to wait and are told to "stay tuned."

To set up a second account after the feature becomes accessible to everyone, users will need a second phone number and a SIM card, or a phone that accepts multiple SIMs or eSIMs.

Once equipped with this, then you need to open "settings" in WhatsApp, click on the arrow next to your name and select "Add account".

You'll need the second phone or its SIM card to receive the one-time passcode that WhatsApp will send via SMS to access your second account on another device.

However, after this initial verification, the app will still work for both accounts without the second device or SIM.

In simple words, you can use a second phone to activate your second WhatsApp account, and after that you can continue to have it on a single phone
