Vucic in the Security Council, Albanians in the US prepare for a protest before
UN building

Albanians in the United States of America are preparing to organize a protest against the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to the United Nations Security Council.

Serbia is expected to participate according to rule 37 and Kosovo according to rule 39 of the Council's temporary regulation of procedure, on October 23.

Mark Gjonaj, chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Albanian Diaspora, in a meeting that was held this evening, has invited the representatives of the Albanian-American community organizations to get ready to hold a demonstration in the Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza Albanian demonstration square.

Vucic has been accused of trying to destabilize the Balkans by provoking terrorist attacks in the North of Kosovo. He boycotted the meeting of the Balkan Process in Tirana to participate in a forum in Beijing, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Despite the aggressive attitudes and the anti-Western line it follows, there has been no pressure from the West on Serbia and Vučić so far.
