Reshat Arbana, one of the icons of film and theater and one of the most loved actors by Albanians, has lost today his better half, his wife, Afërdita.

The sad news was first announced by former prosecutor Shkëlqim Hajdari, a friend of the family for more than 3 decades. As he explains, the reason for Drita's physical departure at the age of 79 was a serious illness from which she had been suffering for years.

"The door, the table, the mirror, the window, the roof, the safe, the kindness of Reshat Arbana, who is his wife Drita and the heart of the family and of all of us, the friends of this house, have been separated from this house. Teta Drita is left this world today after a serious illness. As long as her health condition did not worsen, we met, hung out, talked and laughed without catching her eye. But, in the last few days, we did not find the strength to meet her either , neither Mira nor my children, because we loved Drita very much", writes Hajdari, among other things, on social media.

Publicist from Kosovo Agim Sylejmani also shared his pain for the loss of Drita, as he calls a rare and generous woman.

"We were informed that a good, wonderful woman, a generous and noble woman, a hospitable woman who we only heard about through word of mouth, Aphrodita Arbana, or as she was called Drita for short, the wife of the great artist, has passed away. Reshat Arbana. She always welcomed us and saw us off with a smile, as only she knew how. We will keep her smile as a precious treasure in our memories. She sewed the KLA insignia on the uniform I wore in the spring of 1999 and she escorted me like her son until I got lost in the alley of their house. I will keep all this in the treasure of the best memories of my life", writes Sylejmani, among other things, on behalf of his family.
