260 judges came together in an emergency meeting after the murder of Appeals Judge Astrit Kalaja and demanded a lot of security.
Immediately after this call, the head of the Guard, Simon Zereci, arrived at the premises of the Special Court today.
Zereci held a meeting with the acting president of the GJKKO, Erion Banin, and also conducted an inspection of the premises of the Special Court, as well as SPAK.
Since 2023, the outer perimeter of the GJKKO and SPAK have been guarded by the Republican Guard, as they are considered institutions of special importance.
A day earlier, Bani, at a general meeting of judges, requested inspections of all court premises. He stated that all issues should be identified, including asking judges and court staff about any concerns or problems they may encounter while performing their duties.
