He had turned the bar into a drug den, 41-year-old arrested in Dimal

The owner of a bar in Dimal has been arrested by the police after using his bar to distribute narcotics.

During the search of Kadri Kallmi's premises, the police found and seized 1 automatic firearm, a quantity of cannabis, 1 electronic scale, and 30 live ammunition.

Kostandino Ziu from Kuçova was also arrested. The 27-year-old was under house arrest, and a quantity of cannabis was found and seized in his apartment.

Police announcement:

Following the controls carried out to identify the perpetrator(s) of placing explosives in a business yesterday, as well as to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics and illegal possession of weapons, following information received operationally, within the framework of Operation "Complex", the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

KK, 41 years old, resident of the village of Drenovicë, Dimal;

KZ, 27 years old, resident of the village of Tapi, Kuçovë.

During the operation, the Police services conducted a search of the premises of the bar owned by the 41-year-old, where they found and seized:

1 automatic firearm, a quantity of the narcotic cannabis, 1 electronic scale, 30 live ammunition.

Subsequently, a search was conducted at the apartment of citizen KZ, who was under "house arrest" security measure, where another quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis was found and seized.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat, for further action.
