Will the Constitutional Court's decision affect Veliaj? How does the head of SPAK respond?

In an interview for the "Trialog" show on RTSH, the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, also spoke about the Constitutional Court's decision regarding Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.

Dumani said that the Constitutional Court's decision is unrelated to the case that SPAK is prosecuting against Veliaj or the security measure against him.

"The Constitutional Court has had another subject under consideration, the dismissal and decree of the President. It has no connection to the case we are prosecuting, it has no impact on our investigations or the security measure imposed on Mr. Veliaj."

"I don't want to go into details, it's the court that decides whether or not the criteria for the security measure continue to apply. That's what is stated," said Dumani.

We recall that the Constitutional Court left the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, in office, while also overturning the president's decree on local elections in the capital.
