The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, has confessed to the threats and pressures exerted against special prosecutors, but also against him himself as the head of this institution.

In an interview on the "Trialog" show on RTSH, Dumani emphasized that organized crime finds various forms of threats against special prosecutors.

He revealed that there have been threats against SPAK prosecutors, even death threats, and even plans to carry out assassination attempts against prosecutors.

"It is part of the report, in fact, a report that has also been published on the official website of the Special Prosecution. Let's separate them, the threat from organized crime, threats are frequent against special prosecutors, including the head of the Special Prosecution. The level of threats is increasing. How have we reacted to the threats? Where there was a place, we have referred materials for the initiation of criminal prosecution, where prosecutors have been accusers, even in the role of the injured party from the criminal offense. There are different methods to transmit a threat to the Special Prosecutors. Organized crime is very sophisticated. But I can say this that there are threats in the form of phone calls or threatening family members of special prosecutors, or the special prosecutors themselves, threats even to life, up to plans to carry out assassinations against prosecutors ," said Dumani,

Regarding political threats, Dumani emphasized that there is political rhetoric against special prosecutors.

"As for threats from politics, you are witnesses yourself, from morning to dinner, special prosecutors are threatened, smeared, insulted by names, by proper names, by family names, and this is a form of pressure. Despite the fact that special prosecutors have the necessary maturity, the necessary prudence to face these threats. We are sufficiently prepared to face these threats. But this is a reality. As the head of the Special Prosecution Office, I cannot remain silent," said Dumani.

Asked if politics has gone beyond this, Dumani said that threats or pressures are what " what has been said publicly by politicians is recorded in your chronicles and in my assessment is sufficient to be considered pressures or threats ," said Dumani.
