The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana has submitted to the Special Court of First Instance the final conclusions for Dritan Lleshi or Dritan Ndreca, accused of "Exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions".
According to the Prosecution, Lleshi promised the wife of an employee at a gas station the employment of their son as an environmental inspector, in return for a payment of 400 thousand lek.
He said he would use his connections at the Ministry of Interior to help his son win the competition for this job.
The prosecution has requested a year in prison for Lleshi, which can be converted to eight months in prison with a shortened trial.
"The defendant told him that he had a brother in Tirana, named PN, who worked at the Ministry of Interior and through him he would intervene so that the complainant's son would win the competition for environmental inspector in Fier or Lushnja. According to the plan presented by the defendant Dritan Lleshi, this would be realized in June 2019, at which time AN ??also handed over a deposit of 200,000 lek to Dritan Lleshi, who then postponed the opportunity for employment to September of the same year. From the analysis of the evidence and data collected within the framework of the investigation of this criminal proceeding, it results and is proven that the defendant Dritan Lleshi, with family ties to PN (his uncle's son), committed the criminal offense of "Exercising illegal influence over persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 245/1 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code ", SPAK's announcement states.
