Roven Zeka

The Special Court has appointed a medical expert to assess the health condition of the former head of the Tirana traffic police station, Roven Zeka.

This follows Zeka's request for release from his cell, claiming that he injured his pelvis after a fall during detention.

Based on the expert report, a decision will also be made on his request for release while Zeka is held in prison in connection with the SPAK investigation into a corruption case related to the procedures of a road accident.

Earlier, the prison arrest order against him and officer Edison Tabaku was upheld by the Appeal of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO).

Meanwhile, the head of accident investigation, Sokol Novaku, was released from prison and placed under house arrest for family reasons.
