The arrest of a Montenegrin citizen in Spain, sentenced to prison by the Court of Podgorica, is possible.

Thanks to information provided in real time and efficient exchange between partner structures, the Spanish Police arrested the Montenegrin citizen DF, 43 years old, internationally wanted by the Montenegrin authorities for participation in a criminal organization operating in the field of narcotics.

The operation was carried out in close cooperation between FAST Albania, FAST Spain and FAST Montenegro, under the coordination of the European network ENFAST (European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams), which supports the exchange of operational information for the capture of highly wanted persons at an international level.

According to official sources, the Podgorica Court had previously imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on DF, since April 2025, for strong suspicions of involvement in criminal activities within a structured criminal group.

This operation once again confirms the importance and effectiveness of international cooperation in the fight against organized crime and Albania's active role within European security networks.
