Today, the entire country will be engulfed by heavy rainfall. According to the Institute of Geosciences, the situation in the north of the country is expected to be problematic, mainly in the districts of Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër and Lezhë. During the day the rain will be of low intensity, but in the evening it will intensify. 

According to the Institute of Geosciences, there may be flooding of small mountain rivers and landslides in these areas. While in urban areas, localized flooding problems may appear in these counties, depending on the condition of the sewers.

An increase in the flows of the main rivers is also expected, especially in the Drin-Buna rivers and Shkodra lake. For this reason, the Ministry of Defense asks the Municipalities to take measures in case the situation worsens.

Very heavy snowfall in the form of blizzards is predicted in the Alps area. While in the mountainous areas at the height above 800-900 meters, snowfall with low intensity.

Our country also faced floods in December, where the most problematic districts were Shkodra and Lezha.
