Today, the territory of Albania is affected by rain, which is expected to intensify in the following hours. According to the meteorological forecasts, in the late hours of the night and tomorrow, according to the forecasts, there will be rain with high intensity, mostly in the north.

Based on these forecasts, the Municipality of Shkodër has warned residents to take measures for any situation that may arise.

The Institute of Geosciences has predicted that during today (Monday, the 16th) and during the next day (Tuesday, the 17th) there will be heavy rainfall, which will be more concentrated in the north of the territory.

At the end of tomorrow, intense rain is expected to spread over the entire territory. In the districts of Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër and Lezhë there may be rapid floods of small mountain rivers and landslides. In urban areas, localized flooding problems may occur in these counties, depending on the condition of the sewers.

Meanwhile, an increase in the flows of the main rivers is expected, especially in the Drin-Buna rivers and Shkodra lake.
