The African heat that has engulfed the country will be present until the end of July. The news was announced by meteorologist Hakil Osmani from Meteoalb. Albania, according to him, is currently at the epicenter of this heat wave, while the thermometer in some areas has reached 42 degrees Celsius.
The cooler areas are expected to be the coastal areas but also the southeast of the country where the maximum temperatures will reach up to 35 degrees Celsius. Meteorologist Hakil Osmani says that on Wednesday we may have a temperature drop of 1 or two degrees.
But is this July hotter than the one we had a year ago? According to Osman, July of this year is more acceptable than last year. This is because the summer of 2021 had temperature values up to 43 degrees Celsius. But what is typical for this summer is the fact that heat waves have lasted for over 10 days.
"We expect that the minimums will also increase significantly, almost to 19 degrees in the mountainous areas and in the lowlands to 23 degrees."
As for August, the beginning of the month is expected to be hot, while there is still no forecast for the following days.
