The police officers arrested for favoritism in tenders have arrived at the Court of Shkodra. Among those arrested is Saimir Rustemi, the former head of the Shkodër order.

Outside the court, various citizens with posters in their hands protest about the latter. "Honor yourself! Release chief Saimir", "Shkodra wants chief Saimir, not crimes", "Chief Saimir, the pride of the police", are some of the messages. The citizens of Shkodra appreciate the figure of Saimir Rustemi and have come out in support of him.

"I know his work. I was impressed by the correctness, which I appreciate as a rare model in Albania. Very correct. Arrest is an extreme action. When we know very well what acrobatics have been done in our Albania", says a citizen who came out to protest.

" Our people from Shkodran know him. We have come to show that we support the right people. We are on the side of justice, but figures like Saimiri should not be tarnished ," says another.

A total of 14 people were arrested in the ranks of the Shkodra police, both active and ex-active. The reason for this is the accusations of abuse of the tender for the reconstruction of the police station building of Malësi e Madhe.
