RENEA forces have handcuffed a high-risk person in Shkodër.

According to police information, 49-year-old Agim Gjata, who was previously convicted of murder, was arrested in his apartment by special forces.

At the time of arrest, two Kalashnikovs, a pistol and ammunition were seized from Djata.

The coded police operation "Neutralization" is finalized, for the capture of a person of high social risk, with significant criminal records, in the areas of crimes against the person and illegal possession of weapons.

He shot with a firearm at the Police services at the moment of the intervention for his capture, thanks to the professionalism of the RENEA Special Force services, the 49-year-old was neutralized and put in handcuffs.

The 49-year-old was wanted for possession of weapons without a permit and was previously convicted of murder.

The Criminal Police Services of DVP Shkodër, in cooperation with the Police Station of Vau Deja, following the work for the capture of wanted persons, based on information intelligence, that a citizen with high social risk, declared wanted for carrying weapons without a permit, was entering the apartment, they finalized, in cooperation with the RENEA Special Force, the coded police operation "Neutralization".

At the moment when the Police services surrounded the apartment and called on the citizen, in the name of the State Police, to surrender, the 49-year-old man fired a firearm in the direction of the Police services.

With the professional and law enforcement intervention of the RENEA Special Force services, it became possible to neutralize the citizen who fired a firearm at the Police services. As a result of the "Neutralization" operation, the wanted citizen, A. Gj., 49 years old, resident of Barbullush, previously convicted of murder, was arrested and imprisoned.

The services of the Special Force RENEA seized the Kalashnikov firearm as material evidence and during the search, they found and seized another firearm, a pistol and a pair of binoculars from the 49-year-old.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Shkodër Judicial District Court for further action.
