The parliament has been "armored" by the police force. A metal fence of the State Police has been placed near the shopping center in the area, while there is an increase in the number of officers and the presence of water trucks on the ground, awaiting the arrival of the protesters.
Today's session starts at 10:00 and is the first after last week's physical clashes in the Assembly hall.
The agenda includes 12 draft laws, one normative act, three draft decisions and an interpellation with the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, requested by Democratic MP Ina Zhupa.
In the background of this session are also the disciplinary measures against six Democratic Party deputies, who were suspended for 60 days from parliamentary work following the recent incidents. Meanwhile, the increased police presence and the installation of a metal fence in the area near the Parliament indicate that the authorities have taken measures to manage the announced protest.
