Italian police have destroyed an international drug trafficking network between Brazil, Albania and the 'Ndrangheta group.

From the operation carried out in Calabria, 24 people were handcuffed, 15 of whom were left in prison while 9 others were left under house arrest.

Members of the criminal group used encrypted cell phones or public phone booths to communicate and connect with various organizations that had their operational bases in Albania and Brazil.

In this context, during the investigations it was discovered that the organization had been able to bring large loads of cocaine from Brazil, stored in Switzerland, to be transported to Lombardy and sold to buyers, including an Albanian group.
