Richard Grenell has come to the defense of Aleksandar Vučić's regime in Serbia, denigrating peaceful protesters demanding a change of government.
Through a post on "X", Grenell accuses Serbian protesters of violence in protests and attempting to usurp institutions by force. In fact, the protests in Serbia have been peaceful, and it has even been the protesters who have been attacked and raped by people close to the Vučić regime.
And Grenell has made all this unspeakable and inappropriate "criticism" of the protesters by sharing a page called "National Independent" that is known for spreading misinformation and anti-Albanian attitudes.
"It is always important to raise your voice and be heard. But everyone must condemn violence and adhere to peaceful demonstrations. The democratic process must be respected."
We do not support those who undermine the rule of law or who take over government buildings by force.
"If you don't like a law or a leader, then work to change it - but don't use violence," Grenell wrote.
He immediately received a response from both "Community Notes" and hundreds of commenters outraged by him.
