The Democratic Party is holding a protest today in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

1,350 State Police officers have been deployed to maintain order and security, while the Prime Minister's Office building is protected with metal measures to prevent riots.

Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Tirana has advised American citizens to avoid the protest area and has announced emergency contacts in case of any emergency.

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has described this protest as "the day of civic trial" against the corrupt government linked to the criminal world.

"Today is the day when the opposition people will put on trial the chief thief, the prime minister linked to bandits, traffickers and murderers. Today is the day of victory over the evil that has gripped Albania," Berisha declared in his message to the citizens.
