A 59-year-old man from North Macedonia has been arrested by Durrës port authorities after attempting to smuggle dozens of crates of electronic cigarettes out of the country.

Police report that he had hidden them in the vehicle he was driving.

37 boxes of electronic cigarettes, a mobile phone and the truck where this citizen had hidden the goods were seized.

A 59-year-old man was arrested after attempting to smuggle dozens of packs of electronic cigarettes by hiding them in the vehicle he was driving.

37 boxes of electronic cigarettes, a mobile phone and the truck where this citizen had hidden the goods were seized.

As a result of detailed checks carried out on citizens and the vehicles with which they move when entering/exiting the country, the Border Police services of PKK Port , Durrës , arrested at the exit of the Republic of Albania citizen AS, 59 years old, resident in Macedonia, after:

During a search of the truck he was driving, 37 crates of electronic cigarette packages were found hidden.

The procedural materials were referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further action.
