Bashkim Dedja's case, the Supreme Court returns the case against the former

The High Court has decided to overturn the decision issued by the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, regarding the case against Bashkim Dedja , former president of the Constitutional Court.

With its decision, the Supreme Court ordered the case to be remanded for retrial to the Special Court of Appeals, but with a different panel than the one that had previously reviewed the case.

SPAK had requested a year in prison on charges of concealing assets, but the GJKKO sentenced him to 6 months, which were converted into one year of probation.

According to SPAK, Bashkim Dedja hid an apartment in his self-declaration form while he was the first judge to be punished by the GJKKO, after failing to pass Vetting.

The former member of the Constitutional Court was dismissed from Vetting for failing to justify an apartment in Durrës, and in April 2021, the court ordered its seizure.
