Tirana/ Jetmir Llanaj

A serious incident has been recorded in Tirana, where a 16-year-old girl attempted to commit suicide in a depressed state after being threatened by her ex-boyfriend, who was in prison.

The police reported that the minor, while reporting the case, in a serious psychological state, attempted to harm herself with a cutting tool and also raped the police officer.

Jetmir Llanaj is said to  have had a relationship with the girl without being arrested. After he was arrested in March 2025, the girl met another boy.

Llanaj, in revenge, had someone follow her, while she, annoyed by the pursuit, cut herself with glass, but without any consequences for her life.

During interrogation, in a serious condition, the teenager bit a police officer, while the police are working to identify the perpetrator of the harassment.

Police announcement:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 5 referred additional materials to the Prosecutor's Office for citizen J. Ll. (currently in the Penitentiary Institution), as well as referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office for a 16-year-old girl, as it is suspected that citizen J. Ll. and another citizen have persecuted the minor, who in a serious psychological state, has slightly injured herself with a cutting tool, and has hit the Police officer, when she was giving a statement about the case.

Work is underway to identify and apprehend the other citizen suspected of stalking the minor, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the case .
