A serious incident occurred today in Tirana, where a minor girl injured herself and a police officer with a knife.

It is learned that the whole incident began after the 16-year-old was being chased by 2 people, one of whom is in custody.

While the minor was in a serious psychological state, while giving testimony about the persecution, she injured herself with a knife and then hit a police officer.  

Police Announcement:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Commissariat No. 5 referred additional materials to the Prosecutor's Office for citizen J. Ll. (currently in the Penitentiary Institution), as well as referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office for a 16-year-old girl, as it is suspected that citizen J. Ll. and another citizen have persecuted the minor, who in a serious psychological state, has slightly injured herself with a cutting tool, and has hit the Police officer, when she was giving a statement about the case.

Work is underway to identify and apprehend the other citizen suspected of stalking the minor, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.
