The President has decided not to swear in Asim Vokshi as a member of the Constitutional Court, as he expects the Constitutional Court to review on November 11 the merits of the lawsuit filed by the former president of the Constitutional Court, Naureda Llagami, regarding the legality of the selection process.

The decision comes after serious suspicions of vote tampering during the special meeting of Supreme Court judges, where Asim Vokshi was declared the winner with 3 votes less than Naureda Llagami.

In its meeting on Monday, the Constitutional Court did not accept Llagami's security measure, but passed it to trial on the merits next month. However, the president, in order to avoid irreparable damage to the appointment to the Constitutional Court, did not decree the Supreme Court judge.

The audio obtained by Top Channel from the special meeting of judges on September 30th reveals a recording that was hidden in the official minutes of the Supreme Court regarding the contestation of a vote that was declared invalid by the commission composed of judicial secretaries.

The leaked document lacks contradictions and the intervention of the President of the Court, Sokol Sadushi, who stopped the discussions and left the decision-making to the technical commission.

But this very decision changed the result, with Asim Vokshi winning with 6 votes, while Naureda Llagami, although at the top of the list with 9 votes, one ballot was considered invalid, denying her the necessary majority of 3/5 of the votes.

In the lawsuit, Llagami seeks recognition of the result in her favor, emphasizing that only judges, not secretaries, have the right to determine the validity or not of a vote.

Now the floor belongs to the Constitutional Court, which on November 11 must decide not only to fill the vacancy in the Constitutional Court, but also for the dignity of the process and the credibility of the justice institutions./top channel
