New details are learned from the arrest of the head of the Border in Korça, Stilian Pasho, accused of cooperation in drug trafficking.

According to the Police Supervision Agency, Pasho ordered his subordinates not to check the car of citizen LL

The latter managed to pass freely through the customs, but was stopped by the Greek side who found a full 26 kilograms of cannabis in the car.

AMP says it is not the first time Pasho has ordered certain cars not to be inspected.

AMP and the Korca Prosecutor's Office arrest the Head of the Border Sector, allegedly favoring a citizen who trafficked drugs

Korçë - The Police Surveillance Agency (Korçë-Elbasan Region) has executed the order of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korçë for the arrest of the police employee Chief Commissioner SP, 53 years old, with the duty of Head of the Border Sector at DVKM Korçë .

The ban was carried out within the framework of the investigations of the criminal proceedings of 2023, referred by the AMP Korçë Sector, registered for the criminal offense "Trafficking of narcotics".

From the investigative actions carried out by AMP, under the direction of the Korçë Prosecutor's Office, it is suspected that the SP Chief Commissioner, with concrete and direct actions, using the position in DVKM Korçë, at different time intervals and most recently on 27.11.2023, has favored the citizen LL to cross the border at PKK Kapshtica without undergoing the border control in the vehicle, as well as ordering subordinates not to perform the control in his vehicle.

In connection with this criminal proceeding, there was close cooperation with the counterparts of the Greek Police through the Police Cooperation Point Greece - Albania, and as a result of this cooperation it was possible to capture 26 kg of narcotics in the Greek state.

Investigations within this proceeding continue to identify other possible persons involved in illegal activity and bring them to criminal responsibility.
