An officer of the State Police in Korça has been arrested by the Police Surveillance Agency, as he is suspected of being involved in drug trafficking.

The news was announced by the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, who congratulated the AMP for the detention of the chief commissioner acting as Head of the Border Services Sector in the Local Border and Migration Directorate Korça. It is learned that his name is Stilian Pasho.

Balla's reaction:

When I took office I said that a cannabis root doesn't stand a chance of growing without a policeman who is paid not to see it or that a plot of cannabis doesn't stand a single chance of being harvested without a police chief who is paid by traffickers to do it. not plucked. The Police Supervision Agency has just detained a Chief Commissioner, with the duty of Head of the Border Services Sector in the Korçë Local Directorate of Border and Migration, suspected of being involved in "narcotics trafficking".

I congratulate the Police Supervision Agency for the complete documentation in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction.

I express the belief that the new AMP direction and the strengthening of cooperation with other law enforcement agencies such as SHISH, the General Prosecutor's Office and SPAK will intensify the process of self-cleaning of the State Police.
