A serious incident has been uncovered in Greece, where a 41-year-old Albanian man has been arrested after being accused of sexually abusing his partner's minor daughter.

Greek media have reported that the Albanian has sexually abused his wife's daughter, whom she had from her first marriage.

It is suspected that the incident began during the summer of 2023, when the minor's mother, pregnant at the time, returned to Albania, leaving the girl in the care of her husband.

During this period, but also after the mother's return and then in the spring of 2025, the 41-year-old forced the minor to sleep in the same bed with him and raped her.

What makes the incident more serious is the fact that the 41-year-old threatened the minor that he would harm her family if she told what was happening.

According to the indictment, the girl did not tell her mother about the incident because she lived in constant fear. She stated that her stepfather threatened to kill her paternal grandmother and her uncle if she revealed the abuse.

The case was discovered thanks to information received from third parties, which led to the launch of investigations and the filing of charges against the 41-year-old.

He is expected to sit in the dock at the Serious Crimes Court, where he will face charges of repeated rape of a minor and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.
