After being dismissed from his post as part of Grada, this afternoon Martin Nikolli was put in handcuffs, after the incident in Hamallaj, where members of the Kaçi family were raped.

After the fight that started on the road between two families, Nikolli and Kaçi, it is learned that Martin Nikolli, an employee of the Republic Guard, also shot with his service weapon.

But who is Martin Nikolli?

It is learned that he started working in the Guard of the Republic in July 2006, as a driver in the office for delegation services. 

At that time, Ndrea Prendi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Guard, known to the public as the leader of the fire group that fired with firearms on January 21, 2011, killed 4 protesters, was recruited to this task.

Then, in November 2007, he was appointed companion/driver for the President of the Republic Bamir Topi, a task he performed until 2012. 

In the period 2012-2017, he worked as a driver in service structures in the Guard. Furthermore, from 2017 to 2021, he served as a Bodyguard and driver for the Deputy Prime Minister.

Most recently, since September 2021, he held the position of reserve driver for the Speaker of the Assembly, but without being the driver of Lindita Nikolla's car for a single day during her daily activities as Speaker of the Parliament.
