The Tirana Traffic Police says that it will continue the increased and dedicated controls, with the aim of increasing road safety parameters in the capital.

In a press release, it is stated that special importance has been given to the punishment of drivers who, in violation of the Highway Code, have attempted to bribe Police officers, in order to avoid legal obligations or administrative measures.

"During the period January-July 2023, 66 vehicle drivers who attempted to bribe police officers were caught red-handed, for whom the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption of to persons exercising public functions ", says the Tirana Traffic Police.
