The person in the photo is Rudenc Myrte , a police officer at the Drenova prison who was arrested today as a suspect in smuggling drugs and illegal items into prison cells.

It is learned that Myrte had been under surveillance for some time by order of the Prosecutor's Office.

It is learned that in several cases Myrte is suspected of having introduced drugs, while other details are expected to be learned in the future.

Myrte has abused her duty and security in the prison. Meanwhile, the arrest was carried out following an order issued by the Prosecutor's Office and it is expected that in the coming hours there will be an official statement on the full disclosure of the case.

A day ago, during an operation by the Prison Operations Unit, a mobile phone was discovered in the cell of Laert Haxhiu, who is currently serving a life sentence in Drenova prison as accused of the Lushnja massacre.

Authorities have launched an investigation into how Laert Haxhiu was able to put the cell phone in the cell, and the device is expected to be disassembled to see the communications it made.

It is unknown whether police officer Rudenc Myrte is the person who put the cell phone in Laert Haxhiu's cell, while authorities are investigating the case in question.
