The German authorities have arrested two people, as suspected perpetrators of the murder of Mari Mukë.

The two arrested are also Albanians, respectively 20 and 26 years old, both names known to the police for their connection with drug trafficking.

"Initially, their arrest was made for a reason that was not related to the murder, but after the arrest, they were connected to the incident and now they are accused of murder," said a police spokeswoman.

The detention of the two Albanians was initially done for a routine check to see if they were the persons wanted for another crime, but then suspicions increased and now the young men are accused of murdering the 42-year-old.

Mari Muka was executed with a bullet to the head on Monday evening in Germany.

The 42-year-old man, who was involved in business in Shijak, had immigrated to Germany since 2018.

The murder weapon is still missing.
