The Ministry of Culture is preparing the file for the Epic of Kreshnik, so that it too can be a world cultural heritage under the protection of UNESCO.
"The Epic of Kreshniks with Lute" is the next ambition of all the groups that are supporting us and of the Ministry of Culture itself. It is definitely a big, very voluminous job, as documentation, but also the way of preparing the file", said the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti during a television interview.
She added that the "Kcimi i Tropoja" has already been prepared and the file has been added to the waiting list to be reviewed.
Meanwhile, after isopolyphony, jublet is our next intangible heritage to be protected by UNESCO. The invention of jubilant clothing, which dates back 4 thousand years, is now the property of all mankind.
The news was announced by the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, who participated in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Preservation of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage, which took place in Morocco.
Margariti called it an extraordinary news for our cultural heritage and as a gift on the 110th anniversary of Independence.
The minister pointed out that, "this asset for the country could be lost. But we didn't allow Jubleta to remain simply a relic of the past, and with its inclusion in this list, it will have the support not only of our institutions but also of international ones, which will treat Jubleta as an asset to all humanity".
Jubleta, typical clothing of the northern areas, is regarded as one of the rarest popular costumes, with several types and characteristics, cutting and sewing, according to the areas and ages of the women who wore it.
