Altin Qato: Citizens can be notified by message and e-mail about fines

The Director of the Traffic Police, Altin Qato, says that the State Police is exploring the possibility of notifying citizens of administrative measures on mobile phones or through e-mails.

Qato said during the hearing in the Assembly's Productive Activities Committee that the possibility is being seen that in cooperation with e-Albania, the police will provide the database of e-mails and the mobile phone number, in order to notify the citizens of the fines received.

"The fine system appears in e-Albania, citizens can check the fine there. But we have made a program to get the database of e-mails that we can send to the citizens either by SMS or e-mail.

But this is at the discussion stage. Today we operate through the mail, we send them, often they are returned to us because of the wrong address. We no longer impose the measures in absence, but we impose them physically", said Qato.
