Serious accident in Bulqiza, 31-year-old woman dies, 5 injured

A serious fatal accident occurred on the Bulqizë-Peladhi village road at the place called "Ura e cittad" near the village of Peladhi.

According to police, the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle and consequently went off the road.

As a result of the accident, the 31-year-old woman (the wife of the driver) lost her life, while the driver and 4 passengers were injured and are being transported to Tirana for more specialized medical assistance.

"Around 21:00, at the place called "Ura e cittadët", Bulqizë-Peladhi village road, citizen EZ, while driving the 'Fuoristradë' type vehicle, lost control of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle went off the road. As a result of the vehicle going off the road, citizen MZ, about 31 years old (the wife of the driver of the vehicle), lost her life, while the driver of the vehicle and 4 passengers were injured and are being transported to Tirana for more specialized medical assistance ," the police statement said.

The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and exact cause of the vehicle's veer off the road.
