Madness in Turkey: The president of the team punches and blackens the referee's eye (VIDEO)

The President of a football team in Turkey has gone viral all over the world for his ugly gesture.

It is about Faruk Koca, the president of Ankaragücü. After the match ended in a 1-1 draw with Rizespor, it seems that he did not like the judgment by referee Umut Meler.

A video has been shared on social networks as he runs angrily and hits referee Umut Meler. The consequences are clearly visible to the latter as his eye is black as a result of the punch.

There, other players, coaches and security intervened to stop further assault on Meler. The latter lay down on the field covering his head with his hands so as not to suffer further injuries.

The Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, announced that Koca is now in the hospital where he is being guarded by security forces. After the medical procedures, he will be accompanied to the police.

Koca is well known in Turkey as he has also served as a politician.

After the incident, the Turkish Football Federation called an extraordinary meeting.
