Serie A club offer €5m for Mirlind Daku, Russians demand double

Serie A side Cagliari have made a new offer for Rubin Kazani, this one to buy Albanian striker Mirlind Daku.

According to renowned Russian journalist Ivan Karpov, Cagliari offers €5m, plus €3m in bonuses, after the first offer of €3m in the first half of July was rejected by Rubin Kazan.

"The offer is not bad, but it doesn't suit Rubin anyway. As I reported earlier, the club wants to keep Daku or get at least 10 million euros for him," Karpov wrote.

Earlier, the footballer's father, Fehmi Daku, said that in addition to Cagliari, his son is also interested in CSKA, Lokomotiva and some Bundesliga clubs.

Daku moved to Rubin in 2023 from Croatian club Osijek, signing a three-year contract, with the transfer fee of €1.2 million. Last season the national striker, now 26, played 33 games for Rubin Kazan in all competitions and scored 10 goals. He was part of Albania at Euro 2024.
