Inter Milan secured a 2-0 win over Lazio to book their place in the Coppa Italia semi-finals against AC Milan. The match was a lively affair, with a fierce battle in midfield, but Inter had the better of the ball, while Lazio often threatened with counter-attacks.

Lazio had the first chance with a miscued shot by Boulaye Dia, while Gustav Isaksen threatened several times from distance. Despite these opportunities, Inter took the lead in the 40th minute, when Marko Arnautovic scored a beautiful goal with a powerful volley from 30 meters, beating Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas. Kristjan Asllani was activated in the lineup for this match, but was replaced in the second half by Calhanoglu.

In the second half, Lazio continued to search for an equaliser, but Josep Martinez was on hand to stop any attempt. Then, after a foul in the area on Joaquin Correa, Hakan Calhanoglu converted a penalty to double Inter's lead. Lazio had a golden opportunity to restore their hopes, but Pedro's shot was blocked by the post.

In the end, Inter managed to hold on and ended the match with a 2-0 victory, eliminating Lazio in the quarterfinals for the fifth time in the last six years in the Coppa Italia.
