With an extraordinary career, Elis Bakaj has decided to "hang up his shoes" at the age of 35. The former attacker from the capital gave this news himself through a post on his profile of the social network "Instagram" as he described football as having given him everything in life:

"Football gave me everything in life. As a moment that would come with many beautiful memories that would end but also with many sacrifices.

I thank God for making me work in the profession I loved the most. I thank my family, parents, wife, sister who have been with me in every beautiful and difficult moment.

I wouldn't have made it without them. I thank all the coaches who supported me from the first steps of my career to its end. Football was and will remain my life where I cannot live without it.

Of course, I will not play anymore, but I will still be part of this wonderful sport in other positions", concluded Elis Bakaj, who has had a rich CV in his football career, while wearing the jerseys of Partizan, Dinamo, Čornomorets, Kukes, Skenderbeu, Tirana, Hapoel Rananas, Vllaznia, RNK Split, Shaktar Soligorsk, Dinamo Brest and Rukh, the team where he ended football.
