Among the victims of the earthquake in Turkey is the Ghanaian attacker of the Turkish team Hatayspor, Christian Atsu, 31 years old. The footballer, after the February 6 earthquake, had disappeared. His body was found under the rubble of his house in Hatay.

In recent days, the news was spread, then denied, that the former attacker was pulled alive from the ruins. Atsu was playing for Hatayspor, a team from Turkey's earthquake-ravaged southern province.

Just the Sunday before the earthquake, he scored the winning goal against Kasimpasa in the 97th minute. A former Porto and Chelsea great, with 65 appearances and 10 goals for the Ghana national team.
