The Portuguese star of Al-Nassr has been declared the highest-paid footballer in the world for 2025, according to the latest list published by the prestigious magazine Forbes, leaving behind his eternal rival Lionel Messi and other big names in modern football.
Ronaldo leads the way with $280 million in annual earnings (around €239 million), surpassing Messi by more than double his earnings. The Inter Miami forward is in second place with $130 million (€111 million).

Meanwhile, the biggest surprise on the list is undoubtedly Lamine Yamal. At just 18 years old, the Barcelona talent comes in at number 10, making him the youngest player ever to make the Forbes list. With $43 million in annual earnings, Yamal is already one of the most coveted names in the world of football, both on and off the pitch.
