The 2026 World Cup qualifying Group K for the UEFA zone has become interesting. Albania's 0-1 victory against Serbia at the latter's home has given Sylvinho's Rossoneri second place in the group, with one point more than Serbia.
Serbia's 1-3 victory at home to Andorra was expected and now all scenarios say that November 13th could go down in Albanian football history. On this date, the National Team plays in Andorra, while Serbia plays in London against England.
If Albania wins, which it has to against Andorra, and Serbia loses (England won 0-5 in Belgrade), our team would qualify for the 2026 World Cup play-offs as the second place in Group K.
If Albania wins and Serbia gets a point against England, then things would get tougher as goal difference and the last few games come into play. On November 16, Albania hosts England in Tirana, while Serbia plays Latvia at home.
The chances are that with England's form, even though they have qualified for the World Cup, the match against Serbia will not produce any surprises and the 'Three Lions' will continue with their victories. This scenario and our three points in Andorra would take us to the play-offs, without waiting and counting goals for second place.
