The 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign for October has concluded, with only two stages left to determine the teams that will travel to America.
However, the first team to be part of "USA-Mexico-Canada 2026" has been mathematically confirmed in Europe.
Albania's rivals in Group K, England, are mathematically in the World Cup after a convincing 0-5 away win over Latvia. The Three Lions move to a full 18 points, closing every account.
On the other hand, in the same group, Serbia suffered against Andorra on the road. The home team took the lead in the 17th minute, but two minutes later they scored in their own goal. In the second half, Vlahovic and Mitrovic scored to give the Serbs a 1-3 victory.
Portugal was held 2-2 by Hungary in the final minute, with the Lusitanians' qualification being postponed until November.
In the same group, Ireland again entered the game for second place, defeating Armenia 1-0.
Spain are also moving confidently towards the World Cup, although they will have to make their calculations in November. “La Roja” beat Bulgaria 4-0 and lead Group E with full points, followed by Turkey with three points less, who beat Georgia 4-1.
Italy also secured the Play Off stage, defeating Israel 3-0, as they now hope for a false step by Norway in November against Estonia to enter the race for first place, although on paper it seems impossible.
