After becoming famous for robbing homes in Greece, Italy, Spain and France, those who have been christened the Albanian hawks have now moved their criminal activity to Great Britain.
In the past week, 5 Albanians have been sentenced in the island state for their involvement in house robberies. According to the Kent Police in southern England, to which Top Channel refers, Albanian Dionis Doku has been sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison for a series of robberies. Detectives investigating nine house robberies by the 45-year-old from the Sandzhak of Kruja managed to identify his DNA on a bottle of antibacterial spray, which he had used to clean the scene.
Dionis Doku stole luxury brand handbags and jewellery worth over half a million pounds from 9 properties in Kent, London, Buckinghamshire and Surrey.
While in the area to collect available CCTV footage, police patrols spotted Doc at a bus stop on Uxbridge Road and arrested him.
Meanwhile, London's Metropolitan Police say four Albanians, who were targeting Asian homes with the intention of robbing them, were arrested after a months-long investigation.
Çlirim Ferizi and Oresti Saliaj were sentenced to a total of five years and six months in prison. They were identified through security camera footage, DNA found in robbed houses and cell phones.
Oyster cards used on the subway helped police track movements in the areas of the burglarized houses.
Their accomplices have also been sentenced. They are Dionis Hetaj, 35, along with Arben Cuka, 31. On Monday, January 19, 2026, police were notified of a burglary that was taking place at a flat in Ealing.
The police arrived within minutes and found Dionis Hetaj on the roof of the apartment, trying to evade arrest.
With the support of the Metropolitan Police Dog Unit, he was quickly apprehended and found in possession of a crowbar, as well as items stolen from the victim's apartment.
Cuka was later located and arrested on Wednesday, March 4. Both men were sentenced to a total of five years in prison at Isleworth Crown Court./ TCH
