Poisoning of children in Vlora, suspicions of water contamination in the

Suspicions about the cause of the poisoning of children in Vlora are focusing on water tanks on the terraces of buildings and internal supply systems.

Preliminary analyses by the Public Health Directorate have identified suspicions of contamination of water stored in tanks, while water taken from the water supply network results in being clean.

 However, the cause has not yet been confirmed, as only one sample from a palace deposit has been analyzed so far and further verifications are awaited.

Announcement of the Vlora Public Health Institute 

From the latest analyses conducted by the Directorate of Public Health in Vlora, it is suspected that the water supplied to the apartments through boilers or tanks located on the terraces of the buildings may be contaminated.
Meanwhile, according to the results of the analyses, the water coming from the Water Supply network is clean and without signs of contamination.
This is the latest finding made by Public Health specialists, who are continuing investigations to determine the exact cause of the situation and the poisoning of the children.
However, so far, the analysis has only been carried out in one of the buildings, where a water sample was taken from the tank. For this reason, it cannot yet be said that the cause has been definitively confirmed, while further verifications and analyses are awaited.
