The Vlora Court has ordered the appearance of teacher Albano Ahmeti, who was accused of sexual abuse of underage students at the "Hajredin Beqari" school in Selenica.

Lawyer Anxhela Karavokyri said that the prosecution's request was for house arrest.

"At this time, we do not want to make anything public due to the sensitive nature of the issue ," she told the media.

The 35-year-old teacher was arrested on November 6 after 7 girls aged 14–17 reported that they had been sexually harassed by him on school premises.

He allegedly harassed the girls with words and gestures.

Investigations to fully uncover the incident continue, while the 35-year-old is presumed innocent until a final decision is made.
