Prime Minister Edi Rama has refused to comment on the manner of Ilir Meta's arrest by the police, images that captured the media and social networks in the country.

Rama, however, defended the role of the police, saying that they carry out arrests without considering details such as place or time.

Rama called SPAK an "independent machine gun" saying that they shoot left, right and even close to him. He said that he is not afraid of the "hit" of SPAK, since he has learned since he was a child that the wealth of this world has no value in the next world.

Excerpts from Rama's interview on the show "Opinion":

Rama: I do not comment, the police do not announce when they arrest. The fact that I do not comment does not mean that I am against the arrest. Generally speaking, the police get the order to arrest someone, and they go and arrest them, they don't think about the place or the time, because it's deconspiracy.

Rama: I have had many collaborators

Rama: We gave power to SPAK with all our power. We've created a standalone machine gun that hits left, hits right, hits near me...

Does it hit you?

Rama: For what? I've heard this a lot. Whoever has put his hands into the common assets or has benefited illegally.
