The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, rejects all claims that he has rewarded loyalists by placing them on closed lists.

At a press conference, the former prime minister said that they have the right to think that way, but it is not true.

The Kyredemokrat stressed that no one was removed from the list because of a different opinion, but because they said "I like diversity."

" If you stop as a political scientist, you will never find in 34 years on the Albanian political scene a man like Sali Berisha who not only accepts but prefers diversity. No one has been removed and cannot be removed because Sali Berisha could not tolerate different opinions, this does not happen. Anyone who thinks that he is not on the list for this reason is wrong. They may think so, but it is not true ," said Berisha.
