Entrepreneur Behgjet Pacolli has reacted after media allegations that came due to his unexpected visit to the Prime Minister's Office where he met with the head of government, Edi Rama.
The media claimed that Pacolli is being pressured to take over the Vlora airport, but the well-known businessman refutes these claims. Pacolli says that the article is untrue and that "the airport is now entering a new phase of professional development, Mabco has started the process of internal reorganization, which is only related to normal management."
Pacolli's reaction:
It is unfair to create stories with insinuations. The article in the newspaper Kapitali is as distorted as it is unfair.
I, together with the director of the Mabco company, the majority concessionaire of Vlora Airport, visited the Prime Minister's Office simply for a courtesy visit, where we informed about the progress of the works at Vlora Airport.
It is not at all true, nor correct, to say that there was any pressure or demand for the government to get involved, as some media outlets report.
In fact, as the airport is now entering a new phase of professional development, Mabco has begun the process of internal reorganization, which is related only to normal management.
